Neighbors for Responsible Growth is a non-profit organization. A respected, non-profit, 501 (c) (3) educational organization, 1000 Friends of Wisconsin Land Use Institute, Inc. has agreed to be Neighbors fiscal sponsor. A fiscal sponsor is a tax-exempt organization that agrees to oversee the disbursements and donations of an organization that is furthering the mission of the fiscal sponsor.
Please donate money to help us educate Sun Prairie neighbors to the benefits of sound land use planning and the negative impacts of large-scale, Big box retail sprawl.

1000 Friends of Wisconsin Land Use Institute, Inc focuses on research, public education and grassroots organization and is a partner to 1000 Friends of Wisconsin, Inc. Both organizations are created to encourage effective land use reform in Wisconsin.
The Institute’s mission is to encourage discussion among citizens and policy makers about the importance of Wisconsin’s landscapes and to promote responsible land use decision making to protect them. To this end, the Institute has:
- Published a layperson’s guide to how land use decisions are made and how citizens can most effectively become involved in these decisions.
- Worked with towns to review their land use plans and develop ordinances to help them enforce the goals of their plans.
- Create a citizen photography exhibit with images of places Wisconsinites hope to see intact in 50 years.
- Published an anthology of 50 Wisconsin’s writers recounting the wonders of the Wisconsin landscape.
